- Scan must be carried out before exercise and ideally on an empty stomach and bladder
- Do not shower or sauna for 2–3 hours before your analysis
- Do not eat for 2 hours before your analysis
- Gymwear or lightweight clothing is best and remove excess clothing, jewellery, metal belts and watches where possible
- Test under similar conditions every time (e.g. similar clothing, testing time, food intake etc)
- Maintain a normal level of hydration for the 24hrs leading up to your scan
- Stand upright for 5min prior to scanning
- Use a wipe to thoroughly moisten the palms of your hands and soles of your feet before testing, to increase conductivity
- Avoid talking or moving while being scanned
Note: results will be affected in the case of pregnancy, breast augmentation, irremovable piercings, metal plates, pins, screws, metal prosthetic joints or pacemakers. It is not advised to scan if you are pregnant or have a pacemaker, defibrillator or nerve stimulator.
